We spent about 5 minutes after the drill discussing what went well and what needed to be done better next time. They realized they needed to move a chair to make a little more room, and I requested that they needed to be a little quieter. Other than that they did what they were supposed to do.
Nobody seemed upset and I told them we practice this because we need to keep each other safe and I take that responsibility very seriously. I would want someone to take care of my children and I promise you, I will take care of them as if they were my own. I reminded them that I do not demand silence during a safety drill because I am mean, it is because I need to hear what is going on to keep them safe.
They are painting now and getting ready to go to lunch.
Sincerely,
Jason Joyce
