Dear Parents:
I wanted to remind you that I do remember, way back at Open House many of you asked for help with the spelling patterns. I do try and find videos that do a good job explaining the pattern. If your child is having difficulty with a spelling pattern you could have them watch it via the link on our website. This would be in addition to the instruction here at school. It could also help you if you are not sure how the pattern is applied. Sometimes, the explanation at the top of the spelling page is not sufficient. Even the teachers have questions about the exact application of the rules sometimes and we must research the answer. So do not feel badly if you are having trouble remembering.
This week is easy, "Drop the "e" and add "ed" or "ing". I have remembered that rhyme since I was in third grade.
